In this position, you’ll have the opportunity to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to determine eligibility for special education services.
- Complete a wide range of psychological evaluations including ability, achievement, personality, and behavioral assessments.
- Collaborate with families, teachers, administrators, and outside professionals to support positive student outcomes.
- Provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and support for mental health and behavioral concerns.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings, review psychoeducational assessments, and help develop and implement IEPs.
- Lead and support crisis management and intervention programs at both school and district levels.
- Maintain meticulous and timely records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with state and federal laws, board policies, and administrative directives.
- Take part in in-service instruction and ongoing professional development.
- Utilize technology for data management, test scoring, and reporting.
- Engage with a diverse range of school and community stakeholders in a collaborative, communicative, and culturally responsive manner.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in School Psychology (or equivalent) and state certification as a School Psychologist.
- At least two years of experience (internship or professional) in a school setting.
- Proficiency in assessment, counseling, consultation, and collaboration.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Confidence with data analysis, problem-solving, and working independently or in teams.
- Ability to navigate high-pressure situations with adaptability and poise.
