Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Master’s degree in school psychology (or equivalent), with at least two years of relevant experience or an internship
- Current state certification as a School Psychologist
- Strong interpersonal, assessment, and counseling skills
- Analytical mindset; adept with psychoeducational evaluations and test scoring
- Ability to observe, interpret, and communicate student needs effectively
- Proficient in using computers and technology to prepare reports and maintain records
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities—comfortable addressing varied audiences in school settings
- Physically able to operate office equipment and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychoeducational assessments to determine eligibility for special education services
- Provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and facilitate mental health services
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and external agencies to support student well-being
- Participate actively in assessment teams, develop IEPs, and give recommendations to enhance student performance
- Maintain accurate documentation and prepare detailed psychological reports
- Stay current with best practices, legislative changes, and innovations within the field
- Lead and participate in professional development for staff and parents
