Qualifications and Required Experience:

  • Master’s degree in school psychology (or equivalent), with at least two years of relevant experience or an internship
  • Current state certification as a School Psychologist
  • Strong interpersonal, assessment, and counseling skills
  • Analytical mindset; adept with psychoeducational evaluations and test scoring
  • Ability to observe, interpret, and communicate student needs effectively
  • Proficient in using computers and technology to prepare reports and maintain records
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities—comfortable addressing varied audiences in school settings
  • Physically able to operate office equipment and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough psychoeducational assessments to determine eligibility for special education services
  • Provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and facilitate mental health services
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and external agencies to support student well-being
  • Participate actively in assessment teams, develop IEPs, and give recommendations to enhance student performance
  • Maintain accurate documentation and prepare detailed psychological reports
  • Stay current with best practices, legislative changes, and innovations within the field
  • Lead and participate in professional development for staff and parents
