Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a School Psychologist
- Master’s, Specialist, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience providing assessments, developing IEPs, and interpreting psychological data in school environments
- Knowledge of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), Response to Intervention (RTI), and best practices in special education
- Strong communication abilities to collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and outside agencies
- Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple caseload responsibilities
- Empathy, patience, and a student-centered approach to service delivery
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine students’ learning and behavioral needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and consultative services for students facing academic or social-emotional challenges
- Advise educators, administrators, and families on effective interventions and support strategies
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with district and legal requirements
- Support a positive school climate through proactive prevention programs and staff training
