Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting psychological assessments, interpreting results, and developing recommendations
- Familiarity with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI)
- Strong skills in counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and staff
- Knowledge of special education laws, IEP process, and relevant state regulations
- Ability to manage caseloads and document services with attention to detail
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning using standardized tools
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to recommend interventions and strategies
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to eligibility determinations
- Provide individual and group counseling as well as crisis management support
- Assist in developing plans to address learning or behavioral difficulties
- Help create safe, positive, and inclusive school environments through preventative and responsive services
