Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Current School Psychologist certification (or eligibility) for the state of Georgia
- Previous experience within school settings strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of IDEA, Section 504, MTSS/RTI frameworks, and special education eligibility standards
- Proficient in conducting psychoeducational assessments and writing clear, informative reports
- Effective communicator skilled at fostering relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Capable of working both independently and as a valued team member in multidisciplinary meetings
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret standardized and functional assessments for students referred for evaluation
- Deliver comprehensive reports to inform eligibility, programming, and intervention planning
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, student support teams, and intervention services
- Provide consultation to teachers, staff, and families regarding learning, behavioral, and mental health supports
- Develop and assist in the implementation of intervention strategies and progress monitoring tools
- Counsel students individually or in groups on topics such as social skills, coping strategies, and self-regulation
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing school climate, safety, and inclusive practices
