Make a meaningful impact with students and staff as a contracted school psychologist in the Denver area. This full-time, onsite opportunity spans multiple campuses, supporting a diverse age range from early childhood through high school. You’ll deliver direct mental health services, facilitate assessments, and participate in collaborative efforts to support educational success for students across two assigned schools.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years’ prior experience in a school setting
- Master’s, Specialist’s, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
- Current Special Service Provider License endorsement in School Psychology from CDE
- Strong abilities in student assessment, data interpretation, and report writing
- Effective oral and written communication
- Demonstrated collaborative skills with students, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds
- Proven crisis management experience, including suicide risk assessment and threat evaluation
- Ability to balance multiple responsibilities and maintain steady leadership in crisis situations
- Proficient with computer technology and documentation systems
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling in alignment with IEP goals and service plans
- Develop interventions to address academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs
- Conduct cognitive, social, and behavioral assessments; document and interpret results
- Create and monitor IEP goals, progress reports, and evaluation reports
- Participate in IEP teams, staff meetings, and professional development activities
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, related staff, families, and outside agencies
- Respond to emergencies, completing crisis assessments and implementing safety plans
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and external service providers
