You’ll support students’ mental health and academic growth, collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, and respond proactively to student needs within the school community.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s, Specialist’s, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
- Active CDE Special Service Provider License endorsement in School Psychology
- Prior experience working in a school setting (required)
- Strong assessment capabilities in cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral, and adaptive domains
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to work with diverse students and families
- Solid critical thinking, crisis management, and collaboration skills
- Confident using current technology for documentation and communication
- Successful completion of district background check and fingerprinting required
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct counseling services to students following IEP goals
- Develop individual and group interventions targeting academic and behavioral objectives
- Perform mental health services within general classrooms
- Document services, create reports, and contribute to IEP development
- Conduct risk and threat assessments, crisis response, and reporting
- Carry out comprehensive evaluations and develop Behavioral Intervention Plans
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and staff collaboration
- Consult with families, teachers, and outside providers to support student well-being
- Assist with home wellness visits, academic and behavioral consultations, and resource coordination
