Qualifications:
- Master’s, Specialist’s, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
- Active CDE Special Service Provider License endorsement in School Psychology
- Previous direct school experience required
- Demonstrated expertise in student assessment and crisis response
- Strong oral/written communication and collaborative skills
- Exceptional critical thinking, interpersonal, and organizational abilities
- Proficient with technology and digital documentation
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student and community populations
- Must pass district background check and fingerprinting
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling to special education students per IEPs
- Develop interventions addressing academic, mental health, social, and behavioral needs
- Provide services in general education settings and document all activities thoroughly
- Conduct risk and threat assessments, assist with crisis response and safety planning
- Perform comprehensive evaluations, including observations, interviews, and report writing
- Collaborate in IEP, MTSS, behavioral health, and staff meetings
- Lead psychoeducation, professional development, and consultation for staff and families
- Facilitate connections to community resources and support for students with 504 plans
- Serve in various school settings based on assigned leave coverage (middle, elementary, or P-8 environments)
