Key Qualifications:
- Master’s, Specialist’s, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
- Current Active CDE Special Service Provider License in School Psychology
- Prior experience as a School Psychologist in a school setting
- Expertise in student assessment, IEP development, and functional behavioral assessment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across diverse backgrounds
- Calm and effective crisis management abilities
- Adept in computer technology and contemporary school psychology practices
- Must successfully complete a background check and district fingerprinting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct group and individual counseling for special education students, aligned with IEP mental health objectives
- Develop and implement academic, social, and behavioral interventions to boost educational progress
- Carry out cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral assessments; compose thorough evaluation reports
- Lead crisis response efforts including suicide and threat assessments, and safety planning
- Collaborate extensively with families, teachers, admin, and external providers to maximize student support
- Participate in IEP, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, and behavioral health team meetings
- Document services rendered, maintain compliance with district protocols, and provide psychoeducational resources
- Assist with professional development, academic and behavioral consultations, and support building-wide mental health initiatives
