Step into an impactful role serving high school students throughout the full academic year as a school psychologist on a contract, full-time basis. You will collaborate with educators, families, and support teams to address the diverse needs of students, fostering academic, social, and emotional growth. The daily schedule is from 8:35 AM to 3:35 PM, allowing for a balanced workday immersed in the school environment.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Current certification or license as a school psychologist
- Experience with high school student populations preferred
- Strong understanding of special education services and state/federal guidelines
- Excellent skills in evaluation, data interpretation, and intervention planning
- Ability to facilitate effective communication between staff, students, and families
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments (cognitive, academic, behavioral, emotional) for high school students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct counseling services and crisis intervention as needed
- Support students’ academic progress and emotional well-being
- Participate in meetings with educators and families to discuss evaluations, strategies, and recommendations
- Offer consultation to staff on classroom interventions, behavioral support, and programming
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school policies and legal requirements
