School Psychologist - Lusby, MD

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid certification as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience working in educational settings with diverse student populations
- Strong assessment and counseling skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of best practices in special education, behavioral intervention, and crisis response
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychoeducational assessments and interpret results
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Provide counseling services to students individually or in groups
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student progress and needs
- Assist in crisis intervention and offer support in emergency situations
- Participate in student support meetings and contribute to data-driven educational decisions
- Promote mental health, social-emotional learning, and positive school climates
