This contract opportunity provides the chance to work directly within a vibrant school setting starting August 10th, 2026 through June 17th, 2027. You'll join dedicated professionals in the Department of Student Services and play a pivotal part in enhancing student well-being and academic achievement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Maryland School Psychology License required
- Previous experience working as a school psychologist within an educational environment
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools, intervention strategies, and IEP processes
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families
- Excellent communication, advocacy, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychological assessments for students, interpreting results and making recommendations for interventions
- Collaborate with school staff on the development and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Offer crisis intervention, counseling, and support services as needed
- Advise teachers and parents on effective strategies to nurture students’ academic and social-emotional success
- Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide initiatives
- Document all services and maintain accurate student records in compliance with regulatory standards
