This full-time, onsite contract runs from ASAP through late May 2027, aligning with the school calendar. Key Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana Department of Education certification as a School Psychologist (required)
- Successful completion of required drug screening and fingerprinting, as well as standard credentialing protocols
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology
- Strong ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Exceptional communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and generate thorough reports to support student learning
- Interpret assessment data for eligibility determinations, Special Education services, and interventions
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional guidance
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and support programming for diverse learners
- Collaborate closely with school staff and families to create positive educational environments
- Travel locally to one or more school sites as assigned within the district
- Maintain accurate records and uphold district, state, and federal compliance requirements
