In this contract position, you’ll collaborate closely with educators and families at an elementary school, serving a diverse caseload ranging from Pre-K to 3rd grade. Working on campus every school day from 8:35 am to 3:45 pm, you will be an essential presence for young learners as they navigate their early education journey.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure appropriate for School Psychologists in Illinois
- Demonstrated experience supporting Pre-K students (required)
- Strong understanding of child development, behavioral interventions, and assessment tools
- Effective communicator with ability to build rapport with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Skilled at facilitating and participating in IEP meetings and developing individualized plans
- Comfortable working exclusively onsite (no virtual work considered for this role)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for Pre-K through 3rd grade students
- Interpret assessment data and provide comprehensive reports to guide instruction and interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and monitor IEPs
- Deliver consultation and support for student behavioral and emotional needs
- Foster an inclusive and supportive school environment by promoting positive behaviors and mental wellness
- Take part in school-wide initiatives focused on early intervention and student success
