School Psychologist - Naperville, Illinois
A rewarding full-time opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to support a vibrant dual language school community. This contract position focuses on providing essential psychological, academic, and behavioral support for students in a diverse setting, with a high representation of bilingual families. The role starts in August and continues through June, with consistent in-person hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM, and Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active School Psychologist licensure/certification for practice in Illinois.
- Experience or strong interest working in multicultural or bilingual school settings.
- Spanish-speaking skills are highly valued due to the larger bilingual population.
- Background in facilitating MTSS processes and supporting student mental health.
- Knowledge of IEP requirements and participation as an LEA representative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as MTSS data meeting facilitator, supporting intervention planning and progress monitoring.
- Act as the LEA representative in IEP meetings, ensuring compliance and advocacy for student needs.
- Be the main point of contact for parents during the Initial Evaluation process.
- Conduct student assessments and deliver written evaluation reports.
- Participate in the student response team, responding during student crises and conducting risk assessments.
- Take on additional duties as assigned to contribute to overall student success.
