Key Qualifications:
- Current certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Prior experience working in a school setting, preferably with middle school students
- Strong skills in counseling, crisis intervention, and conflict de-escalation
- Proficient in conducting psychological evaluations and re-evaluations
- Familiarity with chairing Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and mental health support for middle school students
- Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations for special education eligibility
- Chair and facilitate CSE meetings, ensuring compliance with relevant procedures
- Respond to crisis situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other school professionals to create and implement individualized plans for students
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, meetings, and interventions
