Your expertise will be valued as you provide psychological assessments, functional behavior assessments (FBAs), and counseling services that help shape a positive learning environment. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff, ensuring that each student receives tailored guidance.
Key qualifications:
- Valid, active licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience in schools (elementary and/or middle school preferred)
- Proficiency conducting psychological evaluations (60–80 per year)
- Skilled in administering psych testing (no educational testing required)
- Ability to conduct FBAs and contribute to behavioral intervention planning
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Primary responsibilities:
- Administer psychological assessments and interpret results to inform interventions
- Complete all required documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Conduct FBAs and work closely with staff to develop effective behavior plans
- Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Attend IEP and team meetings, offering expertise and recommendations
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and educators
