This contract opportunity is tailored for dedicated and experienced School Psychologists, available for the academic year from August 24th through June 4th. Serving students across K-12, you’ll support 1-2 schools in the Norfolk, VA area. The district is open to considering hybrid schedules, providing flexibility to suit your needs. You’ll be joining a collaborative community where more than 20 contractors are currently thriving and enjoying strong support from administration and staff.
Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia School Psychologist License (required)
- Experience or familiarity with K-12 student populations
- Background in psychoeducational assessments, intervention strategies, and counseling within school environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to a hybrid (on-site/remote) work schedule if preferred
- Commitment to meeting the educational and emotional needs of a diverse student body
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive psychological services to K-12 students, including assessment, intervention, and consultation
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development and progress
- Develop and implement student intervention plans
- Participate in meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as needed
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with district and professional guidelines
