Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join a school-based team in Norfolk, VA. This position offers the opportunity to support students across K–12 grade levels through assessment, consultation, and intervention services that promote academic achievement and social-emotional growth.
Essential Duties
* Conduct initial, reevaluation, and comprehensive psychoeducational assessments
* Analyze and interpret cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional data
* Prepare evaluation reports and present findings to multidisciplinary teams
* Participate in eligibility meetings and IEP development
* Consult with teachers, families, and administrators regarding student needs
* Support the implementation of behavioral and academic intervention strategies
* Assist with crisis response and student support initiatives as needed
Qualifications
* Master’s, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
* Active Virginia School Psychologist license or eligibility to obtain licensure
* School-based experience preferred but not required
* Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage timelines and maintain compliance with special education regulations
