Bring your expertise in school psychology to a rewarding contract opportunity serving students near North Richland Hills, TX. This impactful role involves working with elementary and some middle school learners, supporting their academic and emotional development. As an itinerant professional, you’ll travel between five schools, focusing on evaluations and services for students with Autism (AU), Emotional Disturbance (ED), and Other Health Impairments (OHI), including ADHD assessments and creating Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans.
Your commitment will run from August 10, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with a steady 35-hour work week and defined school-year schedule. If you’re bilingual in Spanish and English and have previous school-based experience, your application will be highly valued.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active License Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or Associate School Psychologist Credential from the Board of Examiners of Psychologists
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus
- Expertise in conducting assessments and developing FBAs/BIPs for AU, ED, and OHI
- Ability to travel between assigned campuses (itinerant role)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Successful completion of Texas Education Agency (TEA) fingerprint background check (allow up to 10 days for processing)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for eligibility and service planning
- Consult with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based strategies
- Deliver direct services and support to students with a focus on behavioral and emotional challenges
- Lead the development and implementation of FBAs and BIPs
- Provide written and verbal reports to support Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 processes
