Embark on a rewarding contract position as a School Psychologist and make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary and middle school students. Based near North Richland Hills, this onsite role offers the opportunity to support a diverse student population across five campuses. The primary focus will be on delivering comprehensive evaluations and interventions related to Autism (AU), Emotional Disturbance (ED), and Other Health Impairments (OHI), including ADHD assessments, direct therapeutic services, Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Key Qualifications:
- Active License Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or Associate School Psychologist Credential issued by the Board of Examiners of Psychologists
- Valid fingerprint clearance or ability to complete TEA background check within required timeframe
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English highly desirable
- Previous school-based experience preferred, particularly working with elementary and middle school populations
- Strong organizational skills and flexibility to serve an itinerant assignment across multiple campuses
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Provide direct counseling services and consult with educators and families
- Develop, implement, and monitor Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support individualized education plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
This 35-hour-per-week role spans the entire 2026-2027 academic year, from August 10, 2026, through May 21, 2027. The caseload consists largely of elementary students, with some involvement at the middle school level, ensuring professional growth and a dynamic daily experience.
