This onsite contract position offers the chance to work closely with both general education and special education students within a collaborative educational environment. Key Qualifications:
- Current Connecticut (CT) School Psychologist license required
- Experience with middle school populations preferred
- Strong knowledge of counseling techniques and assessment tools
- Ability to work effectively with students in grades 6 through 8
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct psychological services to approximately 150 students in grades 6-8, including assessment, counseling, and intervention as needed
- Support students in both regular and special education programs
- Conduct evaluations and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop appropriate educational and behavioral interventions
- Maintain thorough documentation and prepare reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Offer crisis intervention and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support students’ academic and emotional needs
