This contract opportunity focuses on providing in-person psychological testing and evaluation for students with significant disabilities, including non-verbal individuals, those with physical impairments, and students who utilize assistive technology for communication. Based near the Olathe, KS area, the position may involve traveling between multiple sites to ensure comprehensive coverage and support for all students across the district.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Demonstrated experience working with K-12 populations
- Familiarity with evaluations for students who are non-verbal, have physical impairments, or require assistive technology
- Strong knowledge of special education assessment tools and processes
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to various caseloads
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfort with travel between multiple school locations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students with complex needs
- Collaborate with special education and multidisciplinary teams to interpret results and develop recommendations
- Complete and deliver all required documentation in accordance with district guidelines and deadlines
- Attend meetings and contribute to individual education plans (IEPs) for assigned students
- Maintain confidentiality and apply ethical standards in all student interactions
- Adjust evaluation approach based on student needs and available communication support
