Experience a rewarding contract opportunity providing essential psychological services to K-12 students with diverse and significant needs. This role centers on in-person assessments for a vibrant student population, including those with intense disabilities—ranging from non-verbal communication needs to physical impairments, and individuals utilizing assistive technology to communicate.
You’ll join a dedicated team focused on equipping students for success by identifying strengths, needs, and tailored support strategies. The position runs from August 12, 2026, to May 21, 2027, and may involve travel between several educational sites to serve students across all grade levels. Further caseload specifics will be discussed during the interview.
Qualifications:
- Valid license or certification as a School Psychologist (or eligibility in Kansas)
- Prior experience working with students with significant disabilities
- Strong understanding of assessment tools and procedures for non-verbal, physically impaired, or AT device-using students
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to travel between multiple educational sites as needed
- Experience with K-12 populations preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students with intense or unique needs
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to interpret data and develop supportive plans
- Document and report assessment outcomes accurately and promptly
- Provide consultation and recommendations for classroom accommodations and interventions
- Adapt strategies to accommodate a variety of communication styles and disabilities
