Seeking an experienced school psychologist to support elementary and middle school students in a vibrant academic setting near Olathe, KS. This contract position will have you working onsite at both an elementary and a middle school, conveniently located next door to each other. The role runs from July 30th through June 2nd, offering 37.5 hours per week within a collaborative and supportive environment.
In this position, your expertise will be key in facilitating successful educational and social outcomes for students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. You’ll take on a multifaceted role blending direct support, IEP evaluations, and active participation in problem-solving processes, student intervention teams, and crisis intervention teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification/licensure as a school psychologist.
- Previous experience working within K–8 educational environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage IEP evaluations and deliver student services.
- Strong understanding of intervention processes and crisis team dynamics.
- Skilled communicator able to collaborate with educational staff, students, and families.
- Comfortable working onsite and as an integral member of a shared team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete daily duties typical of school psychologists, including assessments, counseling, and consultation.
- Partner with both elementary and middle school faculty for problem-solving and intervention planning.
- Take an active role in student intervention and building crisis teams.
- Manage comprehensive IEP evaluations and service implementation.
- Support students’ emotional, behavioral, and educational development.
