As a school psychologist, you’ll play an integral role in shaping positive outcomes for students while working closely with educators and support staff.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure
- Prior experience with elementary-aged children preferred
- In-depth understanding of IEP evaluations, services, and compliance
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to participate actively in multidisciplinary teams, including Student Intervention and Building Crisis Teams
- Commitment to onsite work; local candidates preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and participate in IEP meetings
- Support teachers and staff in the development, implementation, and monitoring of student interventions
- Lead and contribute to building-based problem-solving processes, SIT activities, and crisis response initiatives
- Deliver counseling and mental health services as needed to students
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with families to foster positive student development and engagement
Assignment Details:
- Position runs from July 30th through June 2nd
- Expected schedule of 37.5 hours per week
- Serve students within a single elementary school setting for consistency and community
