This contract opportunity calls for a skilled School Psychologist to work closely with staff, students, and families, contributing expertise from July 30th through June 2nd. As a key member of the building’s support team, you’ll empower Kindergarten through 5th-grade learners and foster a positive, collaborative environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure (state requirements apply)
- Prior experience in an elementary school environment (K-5 preferred)
- Background in facilitating IEP evaluations and providing associated services
- Proven involvement with Student Intervention Teams and Building Crisis Teams
- Strong understanding of problem-solving models and multitiered systems of support
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and counseling abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, contributing to IEP evaluations and developing individualized student plans
- Participate actively in Student Intervention and Building Crisis Teams, shaping coordinated support strategies
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators regarding effective interventions and classroom management techniques
- Offer consultative and direct services for student behavioral, academic, and emotional needs
- Support data-driven decision making and evidence-based practices in educational programming
- Promote school-wide initiatives focused on student well-being
