Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid license or certification as a School Psychologist (state-specific requirements apply)
- Prior experience working with elementary-age children, preferably in a school setting
- Proficient in conducting and interpreting psychoeducational assessments
- Comprehensive understanding of IEP processes, evaluations, and service delivery for special education
- Demonstrated skill in participating in problem-solving processes, intervention planning, and crisis response
- Strong communication, consultation, and documentation abilities
- Collaborative mindset, with a commitment to fostering supportive school environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine student needs, eligibility, and IEP goals for kindergarten through fifth grade
- Provide expertise as an integral member of the building team to support overall student achievement and well-being
- Participate actively in Student Intervention and Building Crisis Teams
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and specialists to develop and implement effective interventions
- Maintain detailed records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with timelines and regulations
- Support positive behavioral and mental health initiatives within the school setting
This role is an on-site, contract opportunity supporting students at Spring Hill Elementary throughout the academic year, from late July to early June, with a 37.5-hour weekly schedule.
