Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working as a vital member of an elementary school’s support team, serving students from Kindergarten through 5th grade for the upcoming academic year. In this key onsite role, you’ll work closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Your expertise as a School Psychologist will be instrumental for daily decision-making and intervention processes. You’ll participate in collaborative teams focused on problem solving, provide input to the Student Intervention Team, and assist in responding to building-level crises. Core responsibilities include conducting thorough IEP evaluations and delivering services tailored to students’ unique needs, ensuring compliance with educational regulations and advocating for best outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (or eligibility).
- Experience working within elementary school settings (Kindergarten-5th Grade preferred).
- Strong understanding of IEP evaluation processes, educational assessment tools, and intervention strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary school teams.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to fostering positive student outcomes and supporting school initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate actively in Student Intervention and Building Crisis Teams.
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments.
- Deliver IEP-related services and participate in IEP meetings.
- Provide consultation and guidance to teachers and staff regarding student support strategies.
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of intervention plans.
- Serve as a trusted resource for students, families, and staff throughout the school year.
This contract runs from July 30th to June 2nd, in a vibrant elementary school community, offering a full-time weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.
