Make a meaningful impact on the lives of elementary students as a contract School Psychologist in a vibrant educational community near Overland Park, KS. Engage with students from Kindergarten through 5th grade and collaborate closely with faculty, staff, and families to promote a supportive and inclusive learning environment. This onsite position offers the opportunity to become a key member of the school’s multidisciplinary team, working full-time from July 30th through June 2nd.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure and relevant degree in School Psychology
- Experience or expertise working with elementary-aged children (K-5)
- Familiarity with IEP evaluations, development, and monitoring
- Strong ability to collaborate within building teams—such as Student Intervention Teams and Crisis Teams
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain accurate student records and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete daily school psychologist duties, including comprehensive student evaluations and participation in IEP processes
- Serve as an active member of the school’s problem-solving process, Student Intervention Team, and Building Crisis Team
- Provide crisis intervention support when necessary
- Deliver consultation and intervention services to students, families, and staff
- Maintain documentation as required by local, state, and federal guidelines
- Participate in ongoing professional development to support student success
