Bring your expertise as a School Social Worker to a dynamic educational setting near Philadelphia, PA. This contract opportunity spans from August 2026 through June 2027, serving K-8 students while working closely with educators and student support professionals. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:15 am to 4:15 pm, totaling 40 hours per week.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work required
- Active LSW or LCSW license
- Prior experience working in schools is a must
- Strong skills in assessing and addressing students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to maintaining compliance with educational regulations and special education procedures
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Student Support Team by overseeing counselors’ caseloads and ensuring adherence to special education compliance standards
- Support individual and small-group counseling services for students
- Lead coordination of Tier III student supports by working closely with school teams, acting as the McKinney-Vento liaison, and fostering partnerships with community agencies
- Deliver both individual and group counseling, creating and implementing targeted interventions to help students thrive socially, emotionally, and behaviorally
