Make a direct impact supporting students as a School Psychologist in a thriving educational environment. This contract position is available for immediate start and will continue through mid-June, offering an opportunity to provide critical services to elementary or middle school students. You will be joining a collaborative school team to conduct psychoeducational evaluations, support counseling needs, and consult in important intervention planning.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a current MSDE School Psychologist certification.
- Experience or strong working knowledge conducting psychoeducational assessments for students.
- Comfortable working with elementary and middle school populations.
- Capable of managing a counseling caseload and approximately 70 annual evaluations.
- Strong team player, able to collaborate in MTSS, IEP, and 504 meetings.
- Preferably available for in-person work.
- Able to start as soon as possible and commit through June 12.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough psychoeducational evaluations to guide individualized learning plans.
- Provide counseling services as outlined in student plans.
- Attend MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports), IEP, and 504 meetings to advocate for student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to optimize student support.
- Maintain accurate records while handling a variable caseload based on referrals.
- Utilize provided school district resources, including a laptop for documentation and communication.
