Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Valid school psychologist certification or licensure (or eligibility for certification in Oregon)
- Strong understanding of current educational practices, interventions, and assessment tools
- Previous experience within a school setting is highly desirable
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and academic evaluations to identify students’ needs
- Develop and implement appropriate interventions in partnership with educators and parents
- Participate in and provide input for Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and student support services
- Support crisis intervention and ongoing mental health initiatives within the school
- Maintain thorough documentation and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Consult with teachers and staff to design strategies that promote positive academic and behavioral outcomes
