School Psychologist in Richmond, VA

Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience with psychological/educational assessments, IEPs, and behavioral interventions
- Familiarity with MTSS/RTI frameworks preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Previous experience in a school setting highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and interpret results for students referred for special education services
- Provide individual and group counseling to students as needed
- Consult with educators, parents, and support staff to develop tailored intervention strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility decisions and plan development
- Facilitate crisis intervention and contribute to behavioral support plans
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements
