The assignment will initially cover a staff member on leave for about two months, with the potential for extension based on fit and district needs.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations for students across a variety of grade levels
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to interpret assessment results and contribute to the development of learning plans
- Provide consultation and intervention recommendations to promote student success
- Deliver crisis intervention and counseling support as needed
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and help ensure compliance with IDEA guidelines
- Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential student records
- Receive additional caseload information during the interview process
To thrive in this position, you’ll bring:
- Valid School Psychologist credential required for California
- Previous experience working within a school setting is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff
- Proficiency in administering, scoring, and interpreting a variety of psycho-educational assessment tools
- Commitment to cultural competency and supporting diverse student populations
- Ability to manage responsibilities independently while collaborating with a supportive team
