Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in School Psychology or a related field required
- Current Michigan School Psychologist licensure is essential
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary, middle, and high school students, is highly encouraged
- Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills
- Excellent communication abilities to collaborate with students, families, teachers, and support staff
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting student well-being and academic achievement
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results to help identify students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies
- Provide consultation services to teachers and staff on effective classroom interventions and behavioral management techniques
- Deliver individual and group counseling to students as needed
- Support crisis intervention and prevention initiatives within the school community
- Act as a liaison between families, school personnel, and outside agencies to coordinate comprehensive care for students
