This position focuses on supporting elementary-aged students in a K-5 building, which features a self-contained program for students with Autism. The assignment runs from January 5 through May 28, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 am to 3:40 pm. Enjoy a 37.5-hour work week, including a paid lunch break.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience in elementary school settings strongly preferred
- Skill in conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments
- Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder and familiarity with specialized or self-contained programs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to participate effectively in evaluation meetings and provide student support services
- Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads and building assignments as specifics are determined
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct a range of assessments to identify student needs and guide interventions
- Collaborate closely with educators, special education teams, and families to develop and monitor student plans
- Participate actively in evaluation meetings and contribute professional insight
- Support students individually and in group settings, promoting emotional, behavioral, and academic growth
- Maintain thorough records according to school and district guidelines
- Serve as a resource for staff regarding best practices for supporting students with Autism
