- Active Missouri Department of Education certification required
- Experience conducting special education evaluations and Child Find assessments
- Competency working with K-12 students, with an understanding of age-appropriate interventions
- District credentialing includes successful fingerprinting and completion of a required technology form
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage caseloads — typically 8-10 cases at a time, with an average of 32 cases per year for full-time
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct special education and Child Find evaluations
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student educational plans
- Provide consultative services to address student behavioral and academic needs
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation of evaluations and recommendations
- Adapt interventions and strategies to the unique needs of students
- Uphold confidentiality and district policies throughout all interactions
