Make a meaningful impact in the lives of K-12 students by providing expertise in psychological assessment and special education evaluation for an area-wide school district. In this on-site, contract-based role, you’ll support two campuses, working collaboratively with educators to ensure that every child receives the services and support they need.
Your primary focus will be conducting Child Find activities and comprehensive evaluations, serving a diverse population across two school communities in St. Louis and Jennings, MO. With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you’ll manage a caseload typical for school psychologists, averaging 8-10 active cases and completing about 32 evaluations annually.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid and active Missouri Department of Education certification as a School Psychologist
- Demonstrated experience with K-12 populations preferred
- Proficiency in special education evaluation, assessment tools, and Child Find procedures
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
- Ability to secure district-required fingerprint clearance (TCN number submission) and complete necessary technology training forms promptly
- Flexibility to accommodate responsibilities across multiple school sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and participate in multidisciplinary evaluation teams
- Support Child Find initiatives and ensure timely identification of students eligible for special education services
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and parents to interpret results and inform interventions
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to required documentation for compliance
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students’ mental health and learning needs
