Key Responsibilities:
- Perform psychoeducational assessments and evaluations, helping inform important eligibility and placement decisions.
- Clearly interpret assessment results and communicate findings to parents, teachers, and IEP teams.
- Play an active role in developing and carrying out Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
- Provide direct counseling and behavioral interventions to individuals and small groups, supporting student well-being.
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and other support staff, offering insight on instructional strategies and behavioral supports.
Requirements:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a closely related field.
- Possession of a valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential – School Psychology.
- Preferred background working within a K–12 school setting.
- In-depth understanding of special education laws, psychoeducational assessments, and IEP procedures.
