School Psychologist - Santa Rosa, New Mexico

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2024-2025 school year as a School Psychologist, working full-time across four days a week (7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) with K-12 students. This role lets you foster student success and well-being, working with a manageable caseload of 20-25 students. You’ll have the chance to make a real difference for a diverse group, including a few non-verbal students with mild-to-moderate needs. This position provides the opportunity for in-person, direct impact—virtual service models are not being utilized.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience supporting K-12 populations in educational settings.
- Strong interpersonal communication and collaborative skills for working with students, staff, and families.
- Comfort evaluating and supporting a range of student needs, including students who are non-verbal.
- Ability to foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Commitment to on-site services—virtual/remote (VOCO) not an option.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret evaluation results to inform student supports.
- Develop and implement individualized interventions and recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to design effective educational and behavioral plans.
- Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to IEP development.
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and consultative services as needed throughout the school year.
