Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working as a School Psychologist in a K-12 educational setting
- Proficiency in a second language required
- Familiarity with special education law, IEP processes, and assessment tools
- Strong communication, consultation, and case management abilities
- Ability to work effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse students and families
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations for students referred for assessment
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and attend Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings
- Provide direct and consultative psychological services to students, families, and staff
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop intervention strategies
- Support positive behavioral interventions and provide crisis intervention services as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely records according to state and school requirements
- Deliver culturally sensitive support and communicate effectively with bilingual families
