School Psychologist in Cicero, IL
Seeking a dynamic school psychologist to support students and staff in an onsite contract role from September through December. This opportunity is designed for a compassionate professional eager to make an impact, particularly within high-needs autism programs. The position offers a consistent schedule of 32.5 hours per week, working directly across grade levels and multiple school sites.
Ideal candidates will have a strong background in assessment, intervention, and consultation within educational environments. You’ll play a pivotal role in fostering student well-being and advocating for specialized needs, ensuring every child has the chance to succeed.
Qualifications:
- Active Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist Endorsement
- Familiarity with state and district-specific requirements for school psychologists
- Previous experience (Preferred) working with high-needs autism populations
- Skill in classroom observation, data interpretation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and organization abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret findings to inform instructional or behavioral interventions
- Provide direct and consultative support for students with high-needs autism across assigned grades and schools
- Collaborate closely with teachers, specialists, and families to create supportive, inclusive learning environments
- Participate in multi-tiered support processes and IEP meetings as appropriate
- Deliver proactive strategies and guidance for crisis prevention and intervention
