Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Nevada School Psychologist license is required
- Solid knowledge of school psychology best practices and current assessment tools
- Previous experience in a K-12 or multi-age educational environment highly valued
- Strong communication, consultation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively manage school-aged student caseloads in both elementary and middle school settings
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for students
- Participate in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and offer recommendations
- Provide direct interventions, counseling, and crisis response as needed to support students’ emotional and behavioral health
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to address individual student needs
- Help create supportive school climates through staff training, behavioral strategies, and group counseling
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality standards
Additional Details:
- Full-time: 35-37.5 hours weekly
- Assigned to one large middle school and one mid-size elementary school
- Supervision and collaborative support available within the district
