Key Qualifications:
- Hold current or be eligible for South Carolina School Psychologist certification (out-of-state applicants welcome if eligible)
- In-depth knowledge of South Carolina Special Education laws and procedures
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a school psychologist within school settings, focusing on elementary-aged students
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills with a passion for helping diverse populations thrive
- Dedicated to onsite work throughout the contract term, providing consistent support and building strong relationships with students and staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and participate in student support teams
- Develop and implement intervention strategies for academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure all students receive appropriate services
- Contribute to Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings by offering expert insights and recommendations
- Provide crisis intervention and support, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Deliver professional development and guidance for school staff on best practices in social-emotional learning and behavior management
