Exciting opportunities are available for dedicated school psychologists seeking contract positions for the 2026–2027 school year in the Houston area. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) allows candidates to make a real impact across multiple campuses, with placements in both South and West Houston, each serving approximately five schools.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Possess an active Texas School Psychologist credential or licensure; please be prepared to provide a current license snapshot and a redacted report upon request
- Demonstrated experience in school-based psychological services
- On-site presence is required, with potential to perform report writing from home on a hybrid basis
- Must be able to commit to a full-time schedule throughout the assignment dates of July 30, 2026 – May 28, 2027
- Reliable transportation and the ability to serve multiple campuses as needed
Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students across multiple school sites
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and administration to develop interventions and support student success
- Prepare thorough and accurate reports, with the flexibility for some at-home report writing
- Participate in district meetings, contribute expertise to IEP/ARD processes, and offer counseling as appropriate
- Maintain compliance with state and district regulations
Candidates should be prepared to fulfill all submission requirements, including verification of credentials, a record of relevant school-based experience, and availability for employment and interviews. Ability to complete and pay for required district fingerprinting within the first three days of contract signing is essential.
