Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Current certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting psycho-educational evaluations and writing related reports
- Familiarity with IEP development and special education laws
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, staff, and families
- Ability to design, implement, and monitor interventions for diverse student populations
- Experience with crisis intervention and behavior management is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Provide consultation and recommendations to teachers, counselors, and families
- Develop, implement, and monitor strategies to support student success
- Offer crisis intervention and counseling services as needed
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive school climate and advocate for student well-being
