Remote School Psychologist | Louisiana
A contract opportunity is available for a School Psychologist specializing in telehealth services, supporting educational settings remotely. This role focuses on providing psychological assessments, consultations, and interventions through virtual platforms to enhance student well-being and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct remote psychological evaluations to identify students’ learning, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Implement telehealth counseling and intervention strategies tailored to individual student requirements
- Collaborate with educators, families, and external professionals to develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements
- Provide crisis intervention and support for students as needed through telehealth services
- Participate in virtual multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development sessions
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Psychology or School Psychology
- Valid state licensure or certification to practice school psychology, preferably in Louisiana or eligible for telehealth services within the state
- Proven experience with telehealth technology platforms and remote service delivery
- Strong understanding of assessment tools and educational interventions for diverse student populations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students and staff digitally
- Knowledge of IDEA and other relevant education laws and guidelines
Location: Telehealth services supporting a school district based in Denham Springs, Louisiana
