Embark on a rewarding school-based contract opportunity supporting K-12 students for the full 2026-2027 academic year! Three experienced and dedicated school psychologists are needed across multiple school sites in Monroe County. In this valuable role, you will provide onsite support and assessment services in a collaborative, inclusive environment.
What we’re looking for:
- Current, valid Michigan School Psychologist license (must be verified)
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred, especially K-12 populations
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with school staff, students, and families
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical practices
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student needs
- Willingness to work entirely onsite (remote not offered)
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for special education services
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Offer recommendations for classroom interventions and instructional strategies to support student success
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and behavior management support as needed
- Promote positive, inclusive school climates through staff training and student programs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
This position offers the chance to positively impact students’ academic and social-emotional growth while working alongside passionate educational professionals. The contract runs from August 12, 2026, through June 2, 2027, with a 37.5-hour work week. Travel professionals selected for this assignment will be eligible for a premium compensation rate.
