School Psychologist in Tyler, TX

Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Valid, current certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience in school-based psychological assessment, counseling, and consultation
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, MTSS/RTI frameworks, and special education eligibility criteria
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, administrators, and families
- Ability to maintain timely and thorough documentation
- On-site availability is preferred
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments to help determine students’ educational and behavioral needs
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, including IEP, 504, and eligibility conferences
- Provide individual and group counseling and crisis intervention services to support student well-being
- Collaborate with school personnel to develop and implement academic and behavioral interventions
- Serve as a resource for staff and parents regarding student mental health and learning challenges
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations
