Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Hold a valid Virginia School Psychologist license (required)
- Open to new graduates as well as experienced professionals
- Comfortable working with students across all grade levels (K-12)
- Strong communication, assessment, and collaboration skills
- Ability to create a supportive environment for students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and educational assessments for students as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop effective intervention plans
- Participate in individualized education program (IEP) meetings and support compliance
- Offer counseling, crisis intervention, and consultations for students facing academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges
- Implement evidence-based strategies to foster an inclusive, positive school climate
- Maintain detailed, confidential documentation in accordance with regulations
