Seeking a passionate and dedicated professional to provide essential psychological services within a high school environment on a contract basis. This full-time position involves covering a leave from December through June, offering a unique opportunity to have a meaningful impact on students’ well-being and academic development. You'll be part of a supportive educational community and work collaboratively with faculty, administration, and families.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working within school settings, particularly at the high school level, is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging students, parents, and staff
- Ability to interpret assessment data and deliver actionable recommendations
- Knowledge in the development and implementation of IEPs, 504 plans, and behavioral interventions
- Excellent organizational skills and a collaborative spirit
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results for students
- Provide consultation to teachers and staff on classroom strategies and student support
- Develop and participate in intervention plans for academic, social, or behavioral challenges
- Support crisis intervention and preventive mental health strategies within the school
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for student evaluation and planning
- Participate actively in meetings and communicate findings sensitively to stakeholders
- Tailor approaches to meet the diverse needs of the student population across the high school caseload
